HUMO to Become Key Partner of Silk Road Finance & Technology Forum 2026 and Showcase New Payment Solutions
From 24 to 26 August, Tashkent will host the Silk Road Finance & Technology Forum 2026 — an international platform bringing together representatives of regulators, financial institutions, the payment industry, technology companies, and the investment community. Uzbekistan’s national payment system HUMO will serve as a Founding Partner of the Forum, take part in its business programme, and present its own technological solutions.
The Forum’s agenda will focus on the development of Central Asia’s financial infrastructure, cross-border payments, open financial ecosystems, tokenisation, the international interoperability of payment systems, and other technologies shaping the further transformation of the financial market.
For HUMO, participation in the Forum is an opportunity to share its experience in developing Uzbekistan’s national payment system, discuss prospects for international cooperation, and contribute to shaping the future of digital finance in the region.
HUMO in the Forum’s Business Programme
On the first day of the Forum, Alexey Maslov, Advisor to the Chairman of the Management Board at HUMO, will join executives from Visa, Dgpays, Nium, Parkin JSC and representatives of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan for the international panel discussion “Trusted Rails for Cross-Border Commerce on the Silk Road”. The participants will discuss the development of cross-border payments, payment infrastructure interoperability, security, and fraud prevention.
The HUMO delegation will also take part in the closed-door expert roundtables of Insights 2040. Key topics will include international payments and partnerships, the development of acquiring and payment infrastructure, tokenisation, and new technological solutions.
New Payment Scenarios at the HUMO Booth
A dedicated part of HUMO’s participation will be its booth, where current projects and new technological solutions of the payment system will be on display throughout the three days of the Forum.
In particular, guests will be able to see in action a new contactless payment scenario in which making a payment does not require a conventional bank card or a smartphone. The solution will be presented at the Forum in a demonstration format.
For HUMO, the development of such technologies is part of a broader goal — creating a payment experience in which the technology itself becomes virtually invisible to the user, while payments become faster, simpler, and more convenient.
The technology demonstration will not be HUMO’s only new project at the Forum. During the Silk Road Finance & Technology Forum, HUMO, Uzbekistan’s national payment system, plans to unveil a new international project in the field of cross-border payments.
