From March 22, 2021 UnionPay cardholders can enjoy contactless payments and withdraw cash across the entire network of HUMO. The development of the UnionPay acceptance network in the country has a great importance and will contribute to further development of the digital system as a whole and create additional opportunities for trade and service enterprises both to serve local consumers and foreign guests visiting Uzbekistan. By launching this project acceptance coverage rate of UnionPay will reach almost 100% and this will directly impact the increase the tourist attractiveness of the country, especially for tourists from China and Southeast Asia.
